- Evidence of Business Status/ Occupation.
- Evidence of Business link oversea/ Admission Letter/ Invitation Letter.
- Payment of Ten Thousand (N10,000.00) Naira, non-refundable, should be made to any bank of your choice in favour of Accountant General (Federal Sub-Treasury) CBN Acct No. 3000002095, An evidence of payment should be brought to NDLEA for issuance of FGN treasury receipt. (Visa Clearance Payment Code: 1000054000).
- Photocopy of Tax Clearance certificate.
- Certificate of Local Government/ State of Origin
- File Jacket. (NOT PLASTIC FILE)
- Six Passport photographs without eyeglasses
- Coloured copy of data page, and the first three pages of travelling passport
- Typewritten application addressed to the CHAIRMAN/ CHIEF EXECUTIVE, NDLEA titled APPLICATION FOR CLEARANCE by traveller.
- In writing, state who is sponsoring the trip, how and source of finance.
- Other than the applicant, the sponsor MUST write a letter of sponsorship with a passport photograph attached.
- Original copy of statement of account of sponsor, signed, stamped and dated by bank.
- Production of two (2) guarantors for interview (Father/Mother, Brother/Sister, Wife/Husband guarantors are not allowed) NON-NIGERIANS ARE ALSO NOT ALLOWED
- Married women should bring a letter of approval to travel from their husband / attached with a passport photograph
- School certificate results
- Data page of International Passport of the guarantors OR National ID Card
- Evidence of previous business transactions.
A GUARANTOR MUST BE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Family members who are guarantors should also meet any of the below requirements.
IF CIVIL SERVANTS/EMPLOYEES OF A RECOGNISED CORPORATION
- He/she must be a senior civil servant from GL 10 and above, or management staff or recognised corporation.
- Must bring a letter of introduction from employer/ministry (see overleaf)
- Must write a letter of commitment to act as guarantor (see overleaf for mode) to produce photocopies of identity card and letter of Employment or promotion.
IF A PROFESSIONAL
- Produce photocopies of his/her certificates of qualification.
- To act as guarantor, you must write a commitment letter (see overleaf for mode).
IF A BUSINESSMAN / WOMAN
Must write a commitment letter to act as guarantor (see overleaf for mode) Must produce any of the following.
- Photocopies of certificates of incorporation and form C07 stating names and address of Directors of Memorandum of Association.
- A letter of self-introduction is required on business letterhead - this will be considered to wave on CO7 Form.
Evidence of landed properties- C OF O.
A guarantor can only guarantee one Applicant at any time
Must produce original copies of documents for SIGHTING.
Applicant must produce original International Passport for SIGHTING.
N/B ANY ADMISSION LETTER OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT NOT WRITE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE SHOULD BE TRANSLATED.
If a student, a LETTER OF CONSENT must be written by any of the parents with a passport photograph attached.
For Post-Graduate students, previous DEGREE CERTIFICATES and NYSC DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE MUST BE ATTACHED.
The visa clearance application takes a minimum of THREE WEEKS for processing after submitting application files where there are no issues with the claims/documentation therein.
The timing for the clearance process is subject to compliance with the requirements of the applicant.
Obtain a copy of the clearance letter if granted from the point of the process.
